More Info
Peter Mangum was born on September 20, 1989 and grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina. Peter Mangum competed on the Leesville High School football squad and was a three-time letterwinner and all-conference participant. During his senior year, Peter Mangum was voted as the team's MVP and was also the Defensive Player of the Year.

In a local brush with fame, this self-described Tom Cruise look-alike was featured on Channel 17's sports feature twice in 2007. Peter Mangum was also the team captain and started all varsity games of his career.

In addition to football, Peter Mangum was a talented track athlete who made it to the state championship finals in the 300 meter hurdles. He was also a regional finalist in a handful of hurdle and relay events and became the team MVP his senior year. Academically, Peter Mangum was a member of the National Honor Society and an honor-roll student all four years of high school.

Surprisingly, this athletic and academic potential went unsigned out of college so Peter Mangum decided to walk on to the North Carolina Tarheels football team in 2008. To cheer Peter Mangum on, as well as his teammates, purchase your North Carolina Tarheels tickets today!
