Jared McAdoo was born April 15, 1991 to Sandra and Arche McAdoo and grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He attended Chapel Hill High School and had his first break-out season during junior year. Jared McAdoo ended that time with 59 tackles, 20 tackles of which were for loss and 13 sacks.

By the time Jared McAdoo was a senior, he really got rolling! By playing both sides of the ball and was a tight end. The honors began to roll in, just a few of which are as follows: Durham Herald-Sun's All-Area defensive player of the year, first-team all-state honors from the AP, PAC-6 all-conference team member for two consecutive years, team conference title and the first round of state, and Jared McAdoo capped it off being dubbed the Chapel Hill defensive player of the year.

One of his most exciting moments was earning a spot in the Shrine Bowl where he notched nine tackles and a sack.
